Hello Labtainers Users,
We have published a new revision to Labtainers. The primary change is a
transition to using Python3 since Python2 is end-of-life. As always,
changes can be seen in the release notes section of the README file at
https://github.com/mfthomps/Labtainers/blob/master/README.md
(or in the ~/labtainers/trunk directory on Labtainer installations and VMs).
The release also includes changes/fixes to a few labs (see the README).
Update a Labtainers installation by running the
update-labtainer.sh
script in the labtainer-student directory.
Run a newer version of a lab by first deleting your local copy (assuming
you've previously run the lab). For example, to run the revised metasploit
lab:
removelab.py metasploit
Then run the lab as usual.
Labtainers development has funding for the coming year, so you can expect
additional labs and added support for creating and publishing your own
Labtainers exercises.
