On Sunday, September 13, the Buddha Eye sangha and neighborhood will

gather to celebrate the opening of the temple's new hall and garden.

Gamelan Sari Pandhawa (A Eugene ensemble that plays traditional Javanese

music)

Neighborhood fellowship and community building
Please help celebrate the opening of the new hall at Buddha Eye Temple.

The past several years have been spent planning and working on this new
hall so that the temple can be a fuller resource for the community. We
are happy to announce the official opening of the hall and hope you are
able to join in the celebration Sunday, September 13th from 12 noon. In
addition to the opening ceremony, the temple will serve lunch for all who
attend. Gamelan Sari Pandhawa, a local Javanese music ensemble played on
bronze percussion instruments, will perform throughout the afternoon.
This is a good chance to meet neighbors and get introduced to the new
temple building and grounds. Everyone is welcome! Please bring family
and friends and help make this a real community event.

The schedule for the day will be as follows:

9:00 - 10:00: Zazen and service, as usual
10:00 - 12:00: Preparation for the ceremony
12:00: Ceremony
1:00 : Lunch and Gamelan Sari Pandhawa concert
in the garden

A special feature of this day, will be a birthday cake in celebration of

Jun-e, Carmelita's, 80th birthday (no personal gifts, please!) Dana to the
temple will be gratefully accepted.

We hope sangha, families, children, and neighbors will join us to enjoy

the last days of summer in our beautiful new space!
