They are not showing up on the old Performa 575, and also not on my iMac,
running the SoundEditor program on both computers. I also have tried
dragging the .x5 files onto the SoundEditor icon, and it doesn't indicate
that it recognizes the .x5 file.

Hmm...well, that means the same problem is occuring on two different
computers with two different versions of the Mac OS. It now seems to have
moved beyond my synth and/or computer programming skills.
<shrug>
Well, guess I'll just have to come up with my own sounds...it'll be good for
me, I'll have to *earn* my sounds. :-)
