Hello Rowers,
For the first time in several years, we have the opportunity to row on New
Year's Day for our annual Mimosa Row. For new members who joined well after
New Year's, the Mimosa Row is our usual 1.5 to 2 hour row followed by
Mimosas and hearty snacks, which is a great way to kick off the new year.
If the temp or the water is too low or if we don't have enough folks
available to set a boat, the Mimosas and food are moved indoors to enjoy.
The last few years the Mimosa Riw has been an indoor event, but this year
both the weather (60 degrees for the high) and the water will be great for
rowing!
Plans would be to row around 1:00/1:30 and dock by 3:00 to enjoy Mimosas in
the cage, which should be the warmest part of the day. If we don't have
enough to row, the same 1:00/1:30 start time would apply for Mimosas
indoors. Paddle Knoxville members are planning to be on the water around
2:00, so hopefully we will have a sizeable group taking advantage of the
great weather & water conditions.
Please chime in before Noon on Saturday, so we can plan on where to be at
1:00/1:30 on Sunday. After we get a head count, another email will go out
Sat afternoon confirming the location. Look forward to seeing you at this
year's Mimosa Row, wherever it may be.
