They should have taken a note from Redbox and had a lift sunscreen to protect
the display (regardless of direction of installation). As for color
fading...if you they had anodized aluminum bands, they would be colorfast (but
might impact UL listing on cord set).

Heck, there are some Blink charging stations I can't use because they installed
them facing west and now the LED screen is burned out from too much sun.
