Knoxville's new Tesla service/sales center has announced its grand
opening for next weekend, from Friday, July 30th through Sunday, August
1st. KEVA has been invited to participate on Friday July 30 from 8:00 to
10:00AM prior to the mall opening. A photo op would be held at 9:00AM, so
you would need to be there in place by 8:45AM, if you want your Tesla in
the photo op. We would like to get as many Teslas there as possible, not
only to show support for Tesla, but to let people know there are a lot of
Teslas right here in East TN, hence EVs.
Yes, I know it's on a Friday & yes, I know it's during rush hour (at
least at the front end), but Carter, the manager, thought Friday would be
less crowded with the general public & all the ride & drive sign-ups (via
Tesla). We would be there for a meet & greet with Tesla employees & other
Tesla owners (hopefully some folks that we don't know & could possibly sign
up for KEVA) & for some photos & drone shots, so Tesla & KEVA could put
them up on various social media sites. THIS WOULD NOT INVOLVE RIDE &
DRIVES FROM KEVA!
This is NOT meant to exclude other EV owners. ALL KEVA EV owners are
welcome to participate. Unfortunately, your EVs won't be in the photos,
(at least not for the official Tesla photos, they will be with my camera).
We still want you to meet the new EV neighbors.
Please let me know if you can attend, and whether you will bring a Tesla
or not. Carter would like a head count. If you have any questions, please
