I am going to try to make it to the meeting this Saturday folks. And we plan
to help out in some way for the KEVA NDEW event including attending, helping
out that day, some marketing pushing, etc.
Will - appreciate your signing up to help us with the Neyland Stadium event,
which I think I've mentioned before will likely be the last one of these we do.

Subject: [knoxev] Sat Meeting Aug 11 and NDEW events
One of the topics that needs to be discussed at this Saturday's meeting is the
NDEW events in September (one month away!) I unfortunately will be out of town
this Saturday, so I wanted to provide my input to that discussion ahead of time.
There are two Knoxville events:
Sat Sep 8 at Neyland stadium organized by ETCleanFuels (Jonathon Overly) Sat
Sep 15 at Whole Foods organized by the KnoxEV club
For the Sep 15 event, if you are going to help (i.e.to talk to people, bring a
vehicle, etc) then it would be good if you register as a volunteer via the NDEW
site:
https://driveelectricweek.org/volunteer.php
I am registered as the 'captain' of the event with NDEW - all that means is I'm
getting the official packet of literature and giveaways.
I'm also willing and able to help coordinate things. We talked last meeting
about everyone reaching out to get dealers involved, so hopefully we have some
leads there.
I am planning on being there with my volt, and I have a friend who hopefully
will be there with his I3. My friend also knows the owner of West Chevrolet and
has talked to him about West participating. I will let everyone know about that
as soon as I get a definite answer.
I was thinking about suggesting having an informal area were some of us might
bring "other things electric" such as yard equipment, mowers, scooters, bikes,
etc. Please let me know if there is interest there.
Finally, we last month we discussed 'marketing' - hopefully people have more
ideas about that and it will be time to start trying to get the word out.
