Where is the crowd yelling that people won't buy expensive EVs??
Also what do people think, should $100,000+ EVs still get a tax credit ? I
think the $7,500 (or $10k-$12k in future?) definitely helps drive more
adoption on the lower cost EVs. Shouldn't an argument be made to cap the
price of the vehicle purchased? I don't think any Taycan purchaser is
going to be swayed by the loss of $7,500. However, I think a whole bunch of
lower cost EV purchases can be swayed by $7,500! 40k x $7,500 = $300
million. Hopefully I am not the only one that thinks that $300 million
could be put to better use. I would also love to see the data on how many
Taycan purchasers file for the benefit.
