I think those buy laws are for the big EAA its-self and that us regional
groups can have smaller by-laws, just a thought.
Here is an example of trimmed down by-laws.

I was trying to find other examples from other groups and haven't found any.
Scratch that I did find some more from Oregon
http://www.oeva.org/about/OEVA%20Bylaws.pdf ;
<http://www.oeva.org/about/OEVA%20Bylaws.pdf>
and from Seattle

Lets see if we want to trim down the by-laws like the other groups.

Gary, Jack, All,
I have read and reviewed the EAA bylaws, code of ethics and Chapter
President's Guide as well as the proposed motions. I agree with the proposed
course of action and will bring up the motions for the group to decide on as
soon as possible this coming Saturday. There is much to do as outlined in
the President's Guide...
Warmest Regards,
Patrick

Patrick,
Jack and I have reviewed the EAA guidance, which is attached for anyone
interested in reviewing it. We would like to make the following motions at
the next KEVA meeting:
Here are two proposed motions:
1. We adopt the following as our simple set of chapter bylaws:
- We will abide by the EAA bylaws and code of ethics.
- We will use the EAA Chapter President's guide to guide our actions.
- There will be a minimum of two club officers, a President and a
Secretary/Treasurer.
They must be paid-up members of EAA.
- The officers will be elected by the majority of those present at a
regular meeting as soon
as practicable at the start of each year. It is not necessary to
have a formal EAA
membership to vote.
- Newly elected officers will file an annual statement of affiliation
with EAA.
- The president can appoint members to an executive committee.
Positions on the committee are created as needed.
Examples include event organizers, webmaster, liaisons, etc.
2. Under the new bylaws, we then elect the officers for 2020.
Respectfully,
Gary
