The NWS in Medford has issued another round of high wind warnings and
advisories for our region.
High Wind Warning - Saturday 1100-Sunday 0800, winds 40-50mph with gusts
60-70mph in the bright yellow areas
High Wind Advisory - Same timeframe, winds 30-40mph with gusts 45-55mph in the
tan areas
This storm will bring more rain and higher winds than Thursday's. At the coast,
this storm will be dangerous, with life threatening high seas and hurricane
force winds.
Secure lightweight outdoor items. Prepare for power outages. Beware of
heavily-foliaged trees combined with saturated ground - they can topple. Flash
flooding and slides are possible in recent wildfire burn scars. Damaging winds
are considered those gusting 59mph and above, or sustained winds of 40mph.
