The NWS in Medford has issued wind advisories, watches, and warnings for our
region.
Wind Advisory - Thursday afternoon through Friday morning, 30-40mph winds with
gusts 45-55mph in the light tan areas.
Wind Warning - same timeframe, 40-50mph winds with gusts 60-70mph in the bright
yellow areas.
Wind Watch - Saturday, storm system number two; same winds or possibly
stronger, in the same areas.
Damaging winds are those 59mph and above; at this speed lightweight outdoor
items will blow away, trees in saturated ground can topple, and roof shingles
can be lost. There is also a lot of rain expected with these storms - mostly on
the coast. See graphic.
