From a non-member friend . . .  Anyone here involved in this?  Shucks, Ben believes that he is the only person, other than the artist, who was likely to be exposed to both the linked track and the Klaatu Hope sample within the track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCBEi59DaHw UW grad Ben remains in Seattle, because he is dedicated to girlfriend Amber, who finishes her degree in March. Ben bides his time working at Jimmy Johns and plans an extended trip/volunteer mission to India with Amber. On Fridays, Benâ??s work environment allows a lucky staffer to select the Pandora starting point for music in the workplace. I do not know what Pandora artist generated the tune. At work, Ben immediately recognized the Madman sample, which is unmistakable, if you focus, but potentially easy to miss while adjusting condiment supplies. Ben immediately investigated (mustard be damned) to learn its title: Gilded Age by Main Sequence off the 2007 Album The Ownership Society. The artist and tune was obscure enough to be new to Ben. Given the theme of the track, I have no doubt that the sampling was doetically designed. Comments on Pandora refer to Main Sequence as â??sampledeliaâ?? and â??trip hop.â?? Limited web info suggests that Main Sequence is a Portland, Oregon based producer who creates exclusively from samples. The producer has a degree in physics. The â??main sequenceâ?? is an astrophysics term concerning the band of visible stars. Maybe weâ??ll dig further into Main Sequence at the Alfhaus. Maybe Klaatu will thank Ben for making a royalty connection. -----Original Message----- From: Ron Balliet <lunarsurface@xxxxxxxxx> To: klaatumail <klaatumail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thu, Jan 12, 2012 1:55 pm Subject: [klaatumail] Re: When I'm 64.... or is it 67? ...where am I? Come on, guys! He's way past sixty-four, and looks more and more like Angela Landsbury every day! Is it really that surprising that he's starting to sound like a tottering old grandpa? - Joel-Steven  (Kaalifornia Klaatusian)    8^D  Â
