I have committed this with some minor changes:
I used aGrowlController = [[GrowlController alloc] init]; instead
of modifying the .nib files.
I also added some spaces to the notifications to make them more
readable. This could still use some work, but I really like this
feature.
Can someone please test using a clean checkout?

Is it just me, or is anyone else noticing that the SVN repository
on opensvn.csie.org is VERY flaky? I cannot connect to it at the
moment.
I put them on my server instead.

growl.framework goes in the Resources folder inside KisMacNG. The
new Xcode file is included as I had to make some adjustments to it
in order to get it to build with the Growl framework linked.
Have fun with a growl-enabled KisMac.
