I just tried to "consolidate" my KISMAC data files. I had aboutr 10 of them. I exported them into netstumbler text files. Merging them by importing all of them did not work because I did not have GPS data in all of them. Currently KISMAC does not look if GPS data is lost when a duplicate MAC address is imported. I lost too many APs that had a GPS locaton. Anyway. I exported all into Netstumbler text files and managed to find the duplicates without GPS data. I then imported all of them back it. That gave me a nice list. Now I started scanning again and - B O O M - All APs found were inserted again even though the were already in the list. Same MAC and everything! What it boils to is this: - when importing KISMAC files check if GPS data gets lost - Check why duplicates are kept after Netstumbler import Again, sorry that I can only contribute bug-reports and feature suggestions. globo
