Wochen von dem Unternehmen trennt. (Bloomberg - 21. September 2018)

In
Vergangenheit. (Reuters - 21. September 2018)

British automotive industry: "We want to stay in the single market"
Brexit will definitely create disadvantages for the British automotive
industry, the British Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)
complains. Mike Hawes, head of SMMT, in an interview with "tagesschau.de"
contradicted the British government and praised the single market and the
customs union. If there is a hard Brexit, a car produced in Britain will cost
roughly 3,000 euros more in Europe, and a car produced in the EU will cost at
least 1,700 euros more in the UK due to the tariffs that will apply in that
case, he pointed out. (tagesschau.de - September 21, 2018)

with all national and international laws and export regulations, the company
said. (ntv.de - September 21, 2018)

Caterpillar leans on old playbook to cope with Trump tariffs
Six months into the U.S. tariffs on imported aluminum and steel, Caterpillar is
finding that one of the best options it has to protect profits is a cost
cutting strategy that is more than two years old. At a plant in North Carolina,
where it produces small front-end loaders, Caterpillar laid off workers in 2016
in response to plunging sales, consolidating two shifts into one under a
program it calls the Operation & Execution Model. The company is now producing
more loaders at the plant with 30 percent fewer people on the factory floor
than in the past. (Reuters - September 21, 2018)
