Renault will Produktionskapazitäten in China schnell erhöhen Das
Joint-Venture zwischen Renault und Dongfeng will im Jahr 2016 mit der
Produktion beginnen. Renault will seine Produktionskapazität in China
bereits kurz danach erhöhen. Der französische Autohersteller baut
derzeit sein erstes Werk in dem Land. Dort sollen jährlich bis zu
150.000 Autos gebaut werden. Die Produktionskapazität solle künftig um
das Vierfache erhöht werden, so Renaults Finanzvorstand Dominique

Daimler und BMW entwickeln kabellose Ladetechnik
Daimler und BMW werden künftig gemeinsam eine Technologie für kabellose
Ladestationen von Elektroautos entwickeln. Die Autobauer hätten sich auf
den Einsatz einer einheitlichen Technologie zum induktiven Laden von
Elektroautos und Plug-in-Hybrid-Fahrzeugen verständigt, so BMW. Das
Projekt sei Teil der bereits seit Jahren laufenden Einkaufskooperation,
erklärte ein Daimler-Sprecher. Ein Serienstart sei in zwei bis drei

Gespräche zur Beendigung von Zöllen auf Windturbinen und Wasserfiltern
Die USA, die Europäische Union und zwölf weitere Mitgliedsstaaten der
Welthandelsorganisation (WHO) haben mit Verhandlungen über das Ende von
Zöllen auf umweltfreundliche Produkte wie Windturbinen und Solarpanels
begonnen. Die WHO-Länder, die sich an den Gesprächen beteiligen, stehen
für insgesamt 86 Prozent des weltweiten Handels mit diesen Produkten. So
exportierten die USA im Jahr 2013 Waren wie Turbinen, Solarpanels und

GE will mit EON 211-MW-Windpark in Texas Panhandle betreiben
General Electric (GE) und EON werden gemeinsam Besitzer und Betreiber
eines Windpark-Projekts im US-Bundesstaat Texas. Das Projekt soll etwa
64.000 Haushalte mit Strom versorgen. GE Energy Financial Services und
EON Climate and Renewables North America stellten jeweils die Hälfte der
Kapitalinvestition für den 211-Megawatt (MW)-Windpark Grandview I zur
Verfügung. Das Projekt soll rund 42 Kilometer östlich von Amarillo in
Carson County gebaut werden. Insgesamt sollen dort 118 1,7-MW-Turbinen

Dunelms Umsatz steigt
Dunhelms Umsatz ist in den 13 Wochen bis zum 28. Juni 2014 um zwölf
Prozent auf 305 Millionen Dollar gestiegen. Im Gesamtjahr stieg der
Umsatz der britischen Haushaltswarenkette um 7,8 Prozent.
Flächenbereinigt stieg der Umsatz in der 13-Wochen-Periode um 5,5
Prozent. Im gesamten Geschäftsjahr erhöhte sich der Umsatz lediglich um

Home Depots Verkaufs- und IT-Abteilung arbeiten am vernetzten Haus
Bevor Home Depot am 7. Juli 2014 seine Smartphone-gesteuerten
Haushaltsprodukte in den 2.000 US-Filialen zum Kauf anbot, wurden
Lampen, Türschlösser und andere Produkte von der IT-Abteilung des
Unternehmens getestet. Dabei bekam nicht nur das Merchandise-Team des
Unternehmens, sondern auch der Hersteller der Smart-Home-Plattform
Feedback. Home Depot verkauft mehr als 60 Smart-Home-Produkte von
insgesamt 15 verschiedenen Herstellern. Diese werden mit Smartphone- und
Tablet-Apps von Wink gesteuert. Wink ist ein Start-Up-Unternehmen, das
sich vollständig im Besitz der Technologieschmiede Qurirky befindet.

Renault plans swift China production ramp-up
Renault is set to add more Chinese production capacity to its new joint
venture with Dongfeng Motor Group soon after manufacturing starts in
2016. The French automaker is currently building its first Chinese
factory to produce up to 150,000 vehicles annually. Renault aims to
increase its capacity in the country by as much as four times, according
to Renault CFO Dominique Thormann. (Reuters – July 9, 2014)
Daimler and BMW develop wireless charging technology
Daimler and BMW plan to jointly develop a technology for wireless
electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The automakers have agreed to
use a common technology for inductively charging EVs and plug-in
hybrids, said BMW. The project is part of the purchase cooperation that
was launched several years ago, explained a Daimler spokesperson. Start
of production could be in two to three years, the spokesperson said.

Talks open to end tariffs on wind turbines, water filters
The U.S., European Union and twelve other countries in the World Trade
Organization (WTO) have started negotiations on a trade deal aimed at
ending tariffs on environmental goods such as wind turbines and solar
panels. The WTO members agreeing on the talks account for 86 percent of
global trade in the products. The U.S. exported 106 billion dollars in
goods such as turbines, solar panels and filters to treat wastewater in

Texas, U.S., with EON that will power about 64,000 homes. GE Energy

provided half of the equity investment in the 211-megawatt (MW)
Grandview I wind farm. The project will be built roughly 42 kilometers
east of Amarillo in Carson County and include 118 1.7-MW turbines

Dunelm sales accelerate
Dunelm's revenue increased twelve percent to 305 million dollars in the
13 weeks through June 28, 2014 compared with a 7.8 percent increase for
the year. The U.K. homeware chain's like-for-like sales advanced 5.5

Home Depot sales, IT collaborate on the connected home
Before showcasing the smartphone-enabled household items that went on
sale in its 2,000 U.S. on July 7, 2014, Home Depot's IT department
tested the assorted lights, door locks and other household products,
providing feedback to the retailer's merchandise team as well as the
maker of the smart home platform. Home Depot sells more than 60
smart-home products from 15 manufacturers that are controlled by
smartphone and tablet applications from Wink, a start-up wholly-owned by
