Laut einem Bericht der koreanischen Tageszeitung "Korea Joongang Daily"
arbeitet Hyundai an der Entwicklung eines selbstfahrenden Autos. Das unter dem
Codenamen "R-Car" bekannte Fahrzeug soll auf dem Tucson/ix35 basieren. Bereits
vor einer Weile hat der Automobilhersteller seine Ambitionen kundgetan, im
Segment hoch entwickelter Assistenzsysteme ganz vorne mitzuspielen. Angepeilt
wird eine Kommerzialisierung der selbstfahrenden Modelle vom Jahr 2020 an.

Volkswagen liebäugelt mit Export aus Russland
Wegen der Ukraine-Krise verkaufen die Automobilhersteller immer weniger
Fahrzeuge in Russland. Volkswagen erwägt aus diesem Grund, einige seiner dort
produzierten Modelle in andere Länder zu exportieren. "Es gibt Untersuchungen

GKN: neue Technologien für Hybridfahrzeuge
Auf der Internationalen Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) in Frankfurt präsentiert
GKN Automotive neue Technologien für Hybridantriebe, Hochleistungselektronik
für Hybrid-, Elektro- und Nutzfahrzeuge sowie Leichtbau-Herstellungsverfahren.
So wird etwa das Torque Vectoring Allrad-Antriebssystem zu sehen sein, das den
neuen Ford Focus RS antreibt. Darüber hinaus zeigt der Zulieferer neue
kraftstoffsparende Technologien für den herkömmlichen Antriebsstrang.

BYD: Elektroautos kurbeln Umsatz und Ergebnis an
Der chinesische Elektroautobauer Build Your Dream (BYD) hat seinen Umsatz im
ersten Halbjahr 2015 um 18 Prozent auf 31,6 Milliarden Yuan (4,39 Milliarden
Euro) verbessert. Das Nettoergebnis erhöhte sich binnen Jahresfrist um 29
Prozent auf 467 Millionen Yuan. BYD hatte ein Ergebnis zwischen 400 und 480

Denso expandiert in Blount County
Denso Manufacturing Tennessee will 400 Millionen Dollar in die Erweiterung
seines Werks in Blount County im US-Bundesstaat Tennessee investieren. Der
Schritt soll 500 neue Arbeitsplätze in der Region schaffen. Die Ankündigung
kommt zu einem Zeitpunkt, da der in Japan ansässige globale Konzern sein 25.
Jahr in der Gegend um Maryville feiert. In den Campus des Unternehmens an
diesem Standort wurden bis heute bereits 1,3 Milliarden Dollar investiert.

Smartphones sollen Schlaglöcher erfassen
Dank der so genannten Car-to-x-Kommunikation könnten in Zukunft nicht nur Staus
umfahren werden. Das Navigationsgerät könnte auch schlechte Straßenverhältnisse
einkalkulieren und umgehen. Google hat kürzlich ein entsprechendes Patent
erhalten. Die Kommunikation läuft dabei über das Smartphone des Fahrers oder
weiterer Insassen, das per Bewegungs- und Schocksensoren Informationen über die

The automakers' sales in Russia are declining owing to the crisis in Ukraine.
Volkswagen is therefore considering to export some of its models produced there

Chinese electric car maker Build Your Dream (BYD) posted revenues of 31.6
billion yuan (4.39 billion euros) in the first half of 2015, up 18 percent
compared to the same period a year ago. Net profit climbed by 29 percent to 467

Denso to expand in Blount County
Denso Manufacturing Tennessee said that it plans to invest 400 million dollars
to expand its automotive parts plant in Blount County, Tennessee. The move is
expected to bring 500 new jobs to the area. The announcement came as the
Japan-based global corporation celebrates its 25th year in the Maryville area.
The company's campus at the site has already seen 1.3 billion dollars in

Smart phones are planned to gather data on potholes
