Glad to see that someone is willing to tackle this project. I am one of
the people that creates gibberish when I send to the freelist from my
tablet. I was looking at Google+ as a possibility. They have a facility
for Private Community Posting, that can be limited to invited members
only. Several KARC members and other Hams around the world are already
using Google+ in interesting ways. I even found distant relatives
posting interesting pictures.

Ecartis, the software that runs the Freelist, hasn't been seriously updated
in years. There are lots of other options that may be friendlier to modern
technologies. Google Groups comes to mind as one example. If anyone is
interested in setting up such a group using a more modern method, I would
welcome it. I'm getting tired of having to apologize to Freelist
subscribers
for something that isn't their fault and about which I'm powerless to do
anything. I won't be the one to set up something new however.
