Hello KARC members.
At our next meeting, we will be doing the Remote Station Training. If you
are thinking about using the Remote Station and have a laptop, please:
. establish a Skype account, follow details below, and request a
connection to the station
o http://www.skype.com/en/
. down load and install HRD version5.24 from the Club Remote Station
webpage or download and install HRD version 6.x from
o http://ham-radio-deluxe.com/
Bring your laptop and a headset.
Skype set up Details
Send an email to remotehf@xxxxxxxxxx with your Skype username so that the
admin staff know that when you send your Skype connect request that it is a
legitimate request.
You will need to send a onetime connect request through Skype.
Type ve3kbr-hrd in the search window:
. Hit the enter key and when ve3kbr-hrd is located request a
connection.
. If you have been authorized to operate the Remote Station (either
full TX/RX or Receive Only), the admin team will authorize the connection
and ve3kbr-hrd will be added to your contacts.
Only Skype requests received prior to 2230 (1030pm) Tuesday March 1 will be
authorised in time for March meeting.
