Attendees  : Elango, Jawaharlal Nehru, Rajkumar, Priya,  Selvamani,

New Attendee : Selvakumar. He is doing B.E(ECE) first year in
Dhanalakshmi Engineering College at Manimangalam.

What is Screencast:

A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output, also
known as a video screen capture with audio.

Mr. Shrinivasan shared Videos screencasted for Linux commands in our
regional language, Tamil and for Introduction to gtk-recordMyDesktop
application in English. We learnt some basic things that how the
screencast should be made and how the video & audio quality should be.

Idea of Screencast is to learn, understand and reach the things easily
to the people.

Moreover, we had a Skype call with our special guest Mr. Kannan
Moudgalya, IIT Bombay.

He is doing some service to make the FOSS(Free Open/Source Software)
Society in India. Screencast is one of his services. Main objective of
screencast is to spread the awareness of FOSS to the students who are
studying in the rural area throug the CD.

He explained more details about screencast and it guidelines and gave
the things that we have to do. Further, he answered for our queries
regarding screencast. Totally, we had conversation with him about 45
minutes. We really felt this occasion useful to all of us to give our
part to and cooperate with him.

Finally, after the conversation with Mr. Kannan Moudgalya, we people
discussed within ourself to explore the screencast and assigned an
application to eachone.
