Great ideas. Layman's terms please! Some people literally can't make sense of
these terms.

[kadb-bylaws] Re: KADB Bylaws
Hi, Shannon, I will expand on what I said. I think we should have a new article
called Conduct. We should take out the sentence about removing disruptive
people. It is in the wrong place. The new article should read something like
this, and what I write is very rough draft KADB has the right to remove or
discipline members from gatherings or from membership who are disruptive to
goals and operation of the organization. No mmber of KADB may speak for the
organization without permission from the President, the Board, or a committee
of the Board. Discipline may take the following forms. Removal from a meeting
or function: This will only affect the current meeting or function. Reprimand
or censure: This will be a warning to a member who engages in behavior
detrimental to KADB. Removal from active status: The member will become an
associate member. The person will have voice but no vote inorganization
meetings. Suspension from KADB: The person will lose membership privileges for
a defined period. The person will not have voice or vote. Expulsion: A person
will be permently removed from the roles of KADB. Reinstatement to membership:
A person may request reinstatement. If the Board decides that the person will
no longer engage in disruptive or unbecoming conduct, the member will be
reinstated with a 2/3 majority of the Board. From:

Subject: [kadb-bylaws] KADB Bylaws Hello everyone I’m not sure who is all is
on this list. So at our last KADB meeting we discussed amending and updating
our bylaws again for a few reasons. One we need to think about adding some
rules about disciplinary action so we can be more prepared to deal with issues
like the incident that has occurred recently with a member. Also another reason
to look at them again is we’re working on getting our 501C3 paperwork in order
to apply for the nonprofit status too and that articles of incorporation are a
part of that. So to begin some dialogue what about thoughts on the disciplinary
issue? Rick brought some ideas at the meeting so maybe Rick you could reshare
some of your thoughts to help us begin the discussion. Feel free to respond
everyone. Let’s begin working on this. Thanks I welcome thoughts. Shannon
