Here's a fun activity to begin at the computers and continue in a number of ways - Have students use Switcheroozoo to create their own custom animals (maybe a zebra with a dog tail and elephant legs): <A HREF="http://www.switcheroozoo.com/default.htm";>http://www.switcheroozoo.com/default.htm</A> Students can print out their creations and then write names for their animals (like Zebrelephog) and maybe even a story about their animals and the traits they have now in their new configurations. Another idea is to have students create their animals and then write descriptions in such detail (but without direct references to the animal names -- like heavy gray legs - NOT elephant legs) that then others can use the descriptions to create what they believe the animal is and finally they can compare to see if the descriptions were complete and accurate. Enjoy! Gail
