TRAPPED IN D.C. WITHOUT A RADIO OR TRANSPONDER?
Not only is the Washington,
D.C., Metropolitan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) impractical for VFR
flying, many operators are grounded because of the inability to comply with the
ADIZ squawking and talking requirements. AOPA continues to work with federal
officials to provide relief for those who are trapped. As a result of
discussions, the FAA and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are
considering a
"flush" procedure to allow trapped aircraft operators to relocate outside the
ADIZ area. Although details have not been finalized, we need to hear from you
as soon as possible. <A title=mailto:WashingtonADIZ@xxxxxxxx
href="mailto:WashingtonADIZ@xxxxxxxx";>E-mail AOPA</A> and indicate the airport
where you are
based.

Please copy me on the e-mail as well.
