Subject: Invitation to Virginia Volunteer Pilots Group Meeting on May 5th
Good afternoon,
The Virginia Department of Aviation (DOAV) and Virginia Department of
Emergency Management (VDEM) are starting a new volunteer flying organization,
Virginia Volunteer Pilot Group (VVPG), to provide volunteer pilot groups a
way to assist Commonwealth communities during times of emergency.
An event at Chesterfield County Airport in Richmond on Saturday, May 5,
2012 will bring together general aviation pilots and volunteer organizations
for a presentation describing the VVPG and its mission. The program will
take place from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Massey Corporate Hangar.
Would you please help us share information about this event with general
aviation pilots by printing and distributing the attached poster. A press
release containing additional information about the event is also included.
