It reported "Incorrect DOS version" and exhorted me to get the right one from C:\windows. Thus it's not stand-alone either. I suppose that I could copy the version from there onto my diskette. It also seems to run everything from the A drive. I prefer to use a RAM drive. See the procedure in my file FPX-314E in my personal web space at www.personal.psu.edu/glw4/FPX-314E.ZIP This sets up a RAM disk and loads F-Prot, except for the signature files, which can be obtained from www.f-prot.com/download.
