Hi All, If you've been using e-mail for a few months or more you've probably run into the scheme identified below... +++++++++++++++ Nigerian email scam broken up / Madrid / October 3, 2002 Police have smashed a Nigerian-led scam that reaped up to ?20 million ($A36.15 million) by duping Internet chat enthusiasts and other victims into paying seed money for access to safety deposit boxes supposedly full of dollars, the government said yesterday. Spanish police arrested five Nigerians, a British man, a Spanish woman and a minor whose nationality was not disclosed, the Civil Guard said. Most of the 300-plus victims lived in the United States, Germany, Australia or France.
