Feb 9 1999... with a click. }In DOS, it was easy to set the date with a simple batch file... not so }easy in W9x. }Any suggestions out there..?? } }Scott Gilmore N8BQN Saginaw MI USA }------------------------------------------------------------ Place the following one line in a .BAT file. Just drop it on your desk top some place: DATE 02-09-1999 Yes, double-click on that line will cause the batch file, and the one command, to run in a DOS session. BUT, it will reset the date. Another option is to create a link to a DOS program or batch file. (This will be on disk as a .PIF file, though I have been unable to get file manager to show the .PIF) Then right-click >> Properties and change the command line to: command.com /c date 02-09-1999 Then you can set the other options on the other tabs as needed (exclusive mode would be good for this one) before clicking Apply then OK. Again, it runs in a DOS session, but will not need another file for "properties", as it will all be in that file. Any more detail as to what happens in the program after Y2K? FYI: Juno 1.49 has a minor Y2K problem, but only in the screen display for dates. (It shows 102 as the two digit version of this year.) ---------------------------------------- }Date: Sun, 2 Jun 2002 12:12:50 EDT }Subject: [JA] OT answer [was:OT question] }From: George J Kamenz } ... } }Sorry, you'll need a double click. Depending on the configuration of his desk top, a single click may work. ... -- | Computerist. KG6HNO This user is located in California.
