The Osara project with the NVDA screen-reader also supports any
screen-reader like jaws that does MSAA properly.
That's the nice bright future of reaper,
don't bother with the old reaccess anymore,
that is pretty much dead.
At the moment the osara works best on the pc side, but I believe Vic is
working on a mac build, and therre is a preliminary one, he can jump in
and tell you more if he likes since i don't use a mac yet.
But I can tell you it is now possible to do things with reaper we could
never do with sonar, llike editable automation.
and moving fx around in a chain, and lots of other stuff.
Item based fx, much nicer cross-fading and
low level audio editing, though midi in sonar is still hard to beat,
reaper is pretty good with midi now.
I am enjoying using reaper more and more in my work these days, I still
use sonar too, but reaper is enjoying a big push and we have good
cooperation and help going on between the reaper devs, and NVDA devs, so
this is almost unheard of
in our circles.
What a nice change.
