Sonitus? I've played with the Presonus EQ in the FX bin, it's in a

I don't think there's much of a way of doing that except through EQ. It
takes a highly skilled audio engineer fidgitting with theEQ parameters: the
multi-band frequencies , gain knobs, width amount and band type (center
peak/dip I think it's called, seems to be the most efficient type to choose
for this example you mentioned. You'd have to carefully reduce the gain of
as many problematic frequencies making up the problematic audio, but which
will also affect the quality of the frequencies you want to keep, such as
the vocal.
Fortunately Sonar has the Sonitus EQ built into tracks, which are made very
accessible with the HSC sets.

I knew I hadn't explained properly. I didn't mean deleting a whole
versus not deleting a whole and you hear dead air between portions of
white noise. Let's say you have a section of speech with breathing and
so on. If we were sighted, we'd delete a section off the top of the
wave form so that you'd still have the white noise or room noise left
in, without the breathing/salivating on top. Does that make sense?
Anyway I wanted a non-eyeball way of doing that.

and delete dialogues if memory serves, and then you can delete a tiny

I find this sort of microscopic operation to be reallyk nice to do in
reaper, because things like crossfading and smoothing out the edges
microscopic surgery is a lot easier and more accessible to do, but if
you mess about with it you can do the same thing in sonar.
