The basic process by which IVAO works is pretty much the same as PCI so it's primarily a matter of getting used to the new software. The IVAO panel is more flashy - it looks bit like an FMS display - but it seems to have a number of other skins too (none of which I have looked at) so I may be looking at a different style panel to you. You still file a plan as in PCI and you Connect by pressing a Connect button (as in PCI) but it feels different because the IVAO panel is still strange to you right now. The only real difference is that of showing the list of active controllers. In PCI you clicked on the ATC tab and you immediately got a list of online controllers - and not many of these either. In IVAO you Right Click on the button next to your COM1 frequency to do the same thing - and there are lots of controllers on the list to look through. It will all fall into place if you take it slowly.. bones -----Original Message----- From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Fred Stopforth Sent: 28 August 2007 23:50 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] Re: emails Bones, It was nice to see a scene with a/c on, especially sitting correctly with wheels on the ground.Felt abit nervous for some strange reason maybe because of the absence of voice contact and not wanting to run into someone. Thanks for the''Speak Up'' push; cause it got me to go into deeper waters to try to keep the learning process going.J.Hill's been a great help seeing he was available considering people would be on holiday or attending to other urgent matters. Having squawked 4551 your flight plan details popped up on screen perfectly. We saw you taxying around the apron so you obviously saw John, Mike and Peter so I guess your system is up and running. Next stage is to tackle the Teamspeak software so that you can speak to us. bones -----Original Message----- From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of ERNEST LAYCOCK Sent: 28 August 2007 20:57 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] Re: emails Thanks for mention Fred.I have saved some of the ivao stuff from the crew, and slowly get my teeth into it.Comforting to know there is someone else in my class !!!
