I am so sorry to hear that. Tom's wit and dry humour was part of that
magic potion that made our email postings a joy to read.
I would like to post something myself Paul but a search threw up many
thousands of Tom Smiths. Do you have a link for his page?

Subject: [jhb] Sad News
While browsing Facebook yesterday I saw a message on Tom Smith's
Facebook page at 17:35 on Friday 22/11/19. It reads:
"I'm posting this on Tom's timeline to all the people who knew him. He
sadly passed away yesterday after a short but painful fight with cancer.
He always enjoyed chats with you especially ex-work colleagues and his
virtual flight club members. Thanks, all of you, Shelia."
I responded to this with:
"So sorry to hear this. My condolences to all the family.
I only knew Tom through the online community of a shared hobby. That of
flight simulation. Tom and I were both members of a virtual airline
known as JHB. The airlines callsign is Diamond and that is what Tom was,
a Diamond.
