No need to worry John, we were all new to online seesions at one time or
another. There is no requirement to have any formal training before taking
the plune and flying online. The only requirement as such is that you are
sufficiently capable of flying your aircraft.

In your flightplan, can I suggest you add newcomer to the remarks box, any
ATC will be happy to help you.

It looks like I need to get a few flying hours under my belt. However this
virtual flying is a total mystery to me. I have applied for lessons from
VATSIM and I tried at IVAO but nothing so far. Do I need to have these
lessons first or can I start flying (I have very little experience of
ATC)and if so how do I go about it? I apologise for my ignorance but we all
have to start somewhere.
