That was my problem, I never did develop the discipline to record them.  By
using a third party tool it's become ingrained in the start-up ritual.

I'm hoping to join Mick Stacey and Fred in a flight at around 9pm this
evening so you'll be able to witness the ACARS in action.

I used to overlook start time but now it's part of my ingrained routine, 
noted as I release the parking brake. So, also, is zeroing the very 
useful 747 gauge that records the amount of fuel used. I've included 
this in the Citation and Gulfstream.
