For many RW pilots it is mostly revision and should not be a problem. For FS users it depends on how much they know about RW procedures and whether they used the ATC engine in FS much (and obeyed it). As with any new system the initial learning is high because you have to learn how to use the software - but you also need to know ATC procedures if you haven't fully learned the procedures. Once the latter is known it applies equally to any online system you join - except PCI because they dumped ATC regulations. bones -----Original Message----- From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of FrankTurley@xxxxxxx Sent: 02 August 2007 19:01 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] IVAO Having downloaded and installed the pilot's software, I have been to the IVAO site to get some appropriate backgorund reading. So far I've collected - The IvAp Manual - 92 pages I-Pack L1 - Connecting Instructions - 4 pages I-Pack L1 - Squawk Codes - 1 page I-Pack L1 - VFR & IFR - 9 pages I had a look at the other docs in the L1 list, I think I can get away with ignoring them for the time being, unless there's an important one lurking that I missed. There seems to be a very steep learning curve here, I wonder how many get put off by all this? Frank T.
