My impression is that it is spoken English he wishes to improve as he
suggested it was fluency that concerned him. Having said that I felt his
command of English was extraordinarily good as it is.

Is this expected to primarily be email exchanges, or voice? I have a little
knowledge of German - my best friend at school was German and he taught me a
little which I have not forgotten. I would be happy to have email exchanges,
but time is my enemy when it comes to talking. I'm typing this at 23:00

On Thursday night Mike and I were joined by Tobias from Germany, who is
looking to improve his English language skills.
I thought his English was excellent but he knows he needs more discussion to
hone it further.
If anyone here speaks German or would like to improve their German then
Tobias offered a mutual service - a sort of language trade off.
