In FS9 I often flew from my local airfields, at Andreas and Jurby, using Bones' excellent scenery.
It was a disappointment to find that the change to FSX brought with it the fact that the promised backwards compatibillity of scenery wasn't evident and the two fields were no longer useable.
With the move to IVAO the need for an alternative IOM field to Ronaldsway has increased, otherwise local flying in the EGNS zone will be confined to circuits and bumps. Which prompted me to have a go at ressurecting Andreas, by cobbling together my own version. Thanks to Tony Meredith I had access to runways and taxiways and that allowed me to add the other bits.
As usual there are no claims for 100% accuracy; it's aimed to give a flavour of the field and of its immediate surroundings.
I'm back in the air, with the abillity to arrive at Ronaldsway at short notice, if JW is on seat.
