I think you have to turn off smart quotes in MS Word.
Go to the Tools menu and arrow down to the AutoCorrect menu item.
Find the first tab which should be AutoCorrect. Either arrow to the right =
or press control+tab until you find the AutoFormat tab.
Tab to the check box which says =22replace straight quotes with smart =
quotes=22. Uncheck this box.
You also have to uncheck this box in the AutoCorrect as you type tab.
