Danny,

Yes, it helps perfectly. although it may sound silly, I hadn't been into 
that submenu for years, and I forgot that it meant "the different voice 
behaviors for certain events and environments," sort of. You know, like 
spell check, or this, or that. I just kind of got to misremembering 
"individual voices" as being those of Reed, or Betty Jane, or Igor, and so 
forth. Because that's what it would mean intuitively to anyone else. So 
thanks for reminding me that it's really about how to assign and configure 
different voices for different situations,instead.

Hitting self on head. Oh, well.

When you bring up the JAWS settings screen by wacking insert J, arrow down
to voices and wack enter, then arrow down to individual voices and wack
enter, then tab down to pitch and make the changes you desire.  Hope this
helps.
