With winamp, you don't have to quite as much because they have an alternate
volume setting you can check so that when you change the winamp volume, your
speech volume will not also change. This was posted a while back on one of
the previous incarnations of this list by Bob kanish and is invaluable tool
for those of us using a sound card for speech.
