Crystal, I would go ahead and try to install Jaws.  I didn't think 
computers came with screen savers installed anymore, but I am not so 
familiar with the screens on laptops so it may indeed be a screen 
saver.  Again, I think your best bet is to try to get Jaws installed then 
at least you'll have full access when you adjust XP and Jaws to run 
optimally.  Narrator is somewhat limited in scope, and I doubt you'd be 
able to make the XP settings changes with it without difficulty.  HTH Norma
