Hi to you and Lil,
Lil, the instructions copied from JFWLite are great, but they will not work
because they didn't deal with the last steps for clarifying and finalizing the
rule. They will certainly help to create a JFWLite folder, Rule Conditions,
Actions, and Description, but the rule will never be applied. I had this
problem many times with Outlook Express, and here is what we need to add to the
JFWLite instructions in your email.
Once you have provided a name to the rule such as JFWLite and hit Enter for OK,
that's the last line in the instructions, do the following:
Another dialog will appear called Message Rules.
Tab until you reach the Apply Now button and hit Enter.
Again, another dialog box will appear. The title is Apply Mail Rules now.
Tab until you land on the Browse button, and hit Enter.
Next dialog box, Apply To Folder.
Here, Inbox is the default folder. This is the step where we have a problem. We
need to arrow up to select Local Folders. If we don't do that, the rule will
never work.
Now, just Tab to OK button.
Back to previous Dialog, Apply Mail Rules Now.
Tab once to the Apply Now button, and hit Enter.
The rule will be applied to target messages. You may have to wait if you have
too many messages to migrate to the new folder.
When done, hit Enter for OK.
Hit Escape once, and Escape again to close. That's all.
Hope this will help.
Adam

Subject: scripts for creating message rules in outlook express?

Hi list members, I'm having a problem when it comes to the creation of
rules in outlook express. it seems that when a rule is created, you would
think that mail should be going to a particular folder but this is not the
case. I've already created the folders but the mail still goes to my in box
instead of the indevidual folders. How can i correct this problem and are
there any scripts that may be able to sort out the confusion? I can be
  reached at dingram269@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thank you.
