Our machines automatically lockafter 10 minutes of inactivity and the unlock dialog, when invoked says 'This computer is in use and has been locked. Only Username or system administrator can unlock this computer'. I don't know if this is a standard message or user created but if the latter, yours may contain the unread icon. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Nicol Oosthuizen Sent: 01 June 2007 08:43 To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: please press control+down arrow to skip the disclaimer part. subject line: something wierd with jaws when unlocking my computer NB: This email and its contents are subject to our email legal notice which can be viewed at http://www.sars.gov.za/Email_Disclaimer.pdf ---- Hi all I noticed something weird everytime I unlock my computer. AT work we are under strict admin which requires of us to put in our password if the computer is inactive for a while. Anyway, when the computer is locked and I press control+alt+delete to unlock it, jaws sometimes says unread unlock computer. This happens often, it even happens if Microsoft outlook is not running because I know when I'm in outlook and the cursor is on an unread message in my inbox and I press insert+ up arrow jaws says unread before saying the message sender and subject. That obviously means I haven't read the message yet, but why saying unread when I unlock my computer? .Does anyone have an idea why jaws says unread when I press control+alt+delete to unlock the computer?-- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
