place markers

Hi, Negoslav,
I followed your instructions to put a place marker. I hit control k, and
JAWS said "Temporary place marker." But when I hit k to go to the place marker,
JAWS says "no place markers found."
What am I doing wrong?
Also, is there a way to place a marker that will not disappear when you
close the window so that I can continue reading where I left off when I return
to the window? This is more a question for saved documents than live web pages.
