paid or free music downloads

Greetings,
Is there any workable sites that you can download music for free besides bear
share? Does napster work with Jfw, and what about DC plusplus? Paid sites are
great if they work, but I don't want to get involved with them if it's too hard
for jaws to read. Any suggestions would be appreciated
