If use eloquence as I stated before you can assign witch card should be
used with the port command.
Other wise jfw will get the preferred card or the card it finds first.
How ever you can have your jfw use the prefers card and have winamp use
the other card and goldwave use the same card as winamp and so on.
This is another way to configuration. Also if you use a sapi
synthesizer you can determine witch card the sapi uses. Then the sapi
synthesizer will only address that card. You need to have the latest
version of the control panel to do this. Once this setting is maid it
will apply to both sapi 4 and sapi 5. dectalk will not respect this
setting.

Is there anyway at all to get around this? I would really like to have
Jaws on its own sound card and everything else on another. How about
leaving Jaws on this one and having everything else use another one. Kay

It means that if you have two or more sound cards jaws with eloquence
will allow to address the sound card of your choice. The dectalk
access32 software driver that jaws uses does not allow this.

So what does addressing a static soundcard mean?
