Paid for upgrades traditionally come out in September and non-paid for
updates come out throughout the year.

Thanks for all the responses. Actually, I was curious to know the next pay
upgrade of Jaws. The thing is, I was out of the country when I got my notice
to renew my SMA after the 8.0 release and didn't get back until it had
expired and at the time, it was no big deal not to upgrade to the 9.0
because I didn't really need it, but now I've been considering it more and
before I went ahead and bought it, I wanted to know if there was going to be
a new big release from the 9.0 so I could just wait till that one came out
to just upgrade to that. Instead of getting the 9.0 and then a few weeks or
month or so later have the 10.0 or 9.5 or whatever come out.
Someone mentioned on here that if you're 2 or multiple versions behind, you
then have to pay for each upgrade from whatever Jaws version you're running?
Goodness that can get rather expensive if so. If that's the case, then I
guess it doesn't matter whether or not a new JFW release is eminent if you
have to pay for every versions that's come out since your last upgrade.

No, no. He's not waiting for the next version. He's just waiting for the
first update with bug fixes and so forth, so that the first copy of Jaws 9
he downloads will be slightly improved from the original release. That's
what he means, I think.

If you wait to upgrade to the next version you will have to pay for the
in-between versions.
That is the way FS handles it.
So if you have a paid version of Jaws 7 and you are waiting for Jaws 10 to
come out you will have to pay for jaws 8, and 9 as well as 10.
That will use up one whole SMA.
