No, actually they only work in 5.1. If you are in 5.0, what you need to do is to go into the configuration manager, then settings menu with alt-s, HTML options, and under the misc tab of HTML options you'll find something like "indicate element attributs". If you uncheck this, JFW will no longer speak the On Mouseover information. I do not know which other attributes this suppresses.
