What you do when you first open Miranda is to go into the status menu and connect Miranda to the servers of the respective services--AIM, MSN, etc. You might be connected via the MSN client itself, but Miranda needs to be connected. If you were to look in the system tray, you'd most likely find Miranda saying that you were offline.

Hi: That being the case how do you add contacts? It gave three choices and I choose the one where you use the search tool fo find your contacts. (Atleast that was my understanding.) Anyhow, I choose to import them from msn as that's where my contacts are and when I entered the contact name it cameback saying there was a problem with the search and was msn connected?Well, it was connected as I was talking to one of my contacts on there. Anyideas as to what I'm doing wrong?
