Try this: Control O to get to the Open dialog box. Shift Tab to move to
the file list. Then press the beginning letter of the file you are looking
for. Once you have located the file, press Enter to open the file. This
works for all versions of Word. This also assumes that you are only looking
for documents with the file type of .doc and not other file types, such as
txt and such.
