major problem with yahoo messenger

Hi all!
Whenever I am having a conversation with someone using Yahoo messenger, I use
that jaws cursor to review the text and look at incoming messages. However,
when I revert back to the pc cursor in order to reply, jaws says "virtual PC
cursor," and the text of my conversation is displayed on a web page. I cannot
enter any text after that point. I am using JFW 4.51 on an XP pro machine and
the latest version of yahoo messenger.
